I've also become more keenly aware of my mortality. I wonder if this sense of ultimate finitude bleeds into Fred Again's effective timer approach. DEADlines and all.
So many things that set their guise as productive but are truly distractions. I can only imagine that a kid makes you much more intentional with your time. Few guarantees in this life but time will keep moving is one of them.
For the past few weeks I’ve been playing around with writing only when I feel like it. Fast forward to today and I haven’t published anything in two weeks. I’m still working on finding a happy balance between constraint and flexibility, but have definitely been reminded of the necessity of time pressure when it comes to creation. Great stuff!

Thank you! A healthy balance is needed for sure, but when in the right mindset constraints can be quite good.
